I have posted my midwinter Gocco swap! It is quite exciting to be
posting things to all over America and one to Norway. I have been to
Norway once on a postal boat but have not been to America as much as I would
like to. I lived briefly in Santa Monica in Los Angeles when I was
about 13 but haven’t been back since.
Here are the weather stats. I was enjoying seeing those 4 round suns! The weather is very nice at the moment, very much spring.
After taking the picture of my post office I noticed that my shoes were nice and jolly today.
Anyway this is the print I did! I think it came out ok. It is the third Gocco I have ever done. It is from a
drawing of the chair my sister and I gave my mother for her wedding.
The picture on the wall is of my Irish great-grandparents.
With the Gocco print I also sent to each a copy of a Swiss magazine from the 40′s and 50′s. They are from a stack of magazines I saved from my grandparents house. My grandmother Ilse lived in Switzerland at the end of the war and obviously must have carried on subscribing to this magazine when she moved to Japan with my grandfather. These magazines have been all over the world and I didn’t see any reason that they should stop now :) I hope that the people I have sent them to enjoy them as a little curiosity. My grandmother was a knitwear designer and very creative so I think would have liked the Gocco medium.
I am very much looking forward to getting the Gocco prints from the others in my group. So exciting to be waiting for 12 parcels :D
