Holiday!

Yes a holiday! Holidays always seem to sneak up. You are anticipating them for months and then suddenly BAM they are the next day. Tomorrow I am off to Berlin on my annual trip there. It is just the best city ever and I am so looking forward to it. Hopefully there will be lots of walking, reading, chatting, and generally having an all-round relaxing time.

One of my kind of side issue favourite things about going on holiday is that, as part of the general treat of the holiday, I allow myself to buy new books and magazines, and preferably ones that are not too serious:

Yippee! I hope they are good. Any time I look at that book Atonement I hear in my head that movie voice-over guy going ‘ATONEMENT, Joined by love, Separated by fear, Redeemed by hope‘. Ha!

So I shall be back soon, probably with many photos.

Oh yes, one last thing before I forget, I quickly made these two little guys last night. I use USB sticks for moving work around and unfortunately they have now lost their lids, so I thought they needed a little pouch – and while I was making a pouch why not put a little face on it?

(At his request I also made Simon a plain green one without a face. It looks much more chic but I like the faces. ;)

Just stumbled across your blog! I love Berlin – some of my relatives live there too. I usually go back at christmas time though. Btw, I was reading about your 10 pounds project – I guess growing your own would be the best way, but your cooking would be very seasonal! (and it depends on where you live as to whether you could set up a veggie garden). I find growing herbs to be very handy, cos usually when you buy them from the supermarket you get too much and most of it ends up going bad.

Those little USB stick pouches are adorable! Ever thought of selling them somewhere? I’m sure some people would be interested *wink, wink*.
