I own literally hundreds of Agatha Christie books, some that I bought second hand and a lot that I inherited from my grandmother. I read them all in my early teens and now I have started to re-read them all again, it is an addiction!
My grandmother learned English from them so every now and again I come across a difficult word that she underlined in pencil. It gives me a nice jolt as it makes me remember my grandmother :)

Those are some fabulous covers! I also have lots of old Agathas. There’s something very comforting about cuddling up to them – perhaps they remind me of reading them when I was younger, too.
I just bought a good friend a newly released omnibus of Agatha to read while recovering from an illness. It made me want to snuggle up with mine again too.
I have also been thinking about AC and wondered about rereading them. I was thinking about trying to re-read them in order – would you recommend that? I will need some serial fiction after I complete my Ian Rankin readathon – I have to save up a couple to read now and then but we are getting near the end of the Rebus novels now. You have inspired me to find some of my old AC now and reread. I love your old copies, much nicer than my reissued paperbacks.
I haven’t read Agatha Christie in years, but boy did I used to love them. I could probably read them now and be surprised by the endings all over again!
I haven’t been reading them in order but that would be an interesting thing to do. I have just been picking up which ever ones I think that I can’t remember who did it.
:)
That is so special, having your grandmother’s notes inside! It’s been way too long since I’ve read Agatha Christie. My mom and I used to watch David Suchet’s Hercule Poirot all the time. I sure do miss that.
Hi… this is the sweetest thing ever… difficult words underlined.
