Everyone is talking about the Autumn and how the seasons are changing, this seems a little hasty especially as yesterday seemed to be one of the hottest days of the year, but now I am at it too! Today has been really dark and drizzly and has made me anticipate the winter.
I am looking forward to:
having a cold nose
making apple crumble from windfalls
mist in the morning
not feeling like being inside at work is depriving me of sunlight
hot chestnuts in my pocket
the sparkle of rain and lights after dark
leaves falling in the park
mulled wine
fireworks
hurrying home with our hands in each other's pockets to keep warm
red wool
lined boots
the quiet
frost
breathing out clouds
In the meantime it IS still summer but it is good to know there are good things coming too.
