Today after work on a whim on my route home I jumped off my bike and went into Magdalen College which is one of my favourite colleges. It is a big spacious college with beautiful grounds. Today it was wonderfully empty, hardly any tourists, and I think the students are still on holiday. The sound of a clarinet and piano duo practicing was drifting along the corridors. It had just been raining so there was that fresh fragrant smell from the spring flowers and trees. So beautiful and refreshing. It really made my heart swell :)
