gold pinecone

pinecone

I was going to write about some autumn sewing projects I have on the go but I got distracted by some cookery experiments so instead I will put that on the back-burner for another day. In the meantime I would like to show this, my new-to-me pinecone necklace. I am crazy about it :) It is exactly something that I would have gone mad over if I had seen it in a shop or an Etsy, however I didn’t buy it, I inherited it from the estate of my late great-uncle. When I was in Ireland my aunt let me look through various pieces to see if there was anything I would like and I chose this, it must have belonged to my late great-aunt, I am very happy to have something that connects me to that branch of the family.

It’s gorgeous!! You’re so right- if I had seen it on etsy, I’d be nuts for it, too! And how wonderful that it’s a family heirloom- so good taste must be genetic! ;)
