We popped over to Bristol to see my sister and her boyfriend. The four of us went for lunch at the nearby St Werburghs City Farm Cafe, I had a pumpkin burrito and tabbouleh which was so very good. I want to go back there right now! Really delicious but also really healthy, you feel good afterwards. I also tried their spiced coffee which was great too. If you ever have the chance to go there then do! The building is like a hobbit home – a low round building with carved wood beams inside. The farm is also very cute and they currently have little piglets squeaking around.

Long time visitors to my site might remember some of my sister’s other places? This one sticks in my mind. Her current place is lovely, I like the bamboo floor. We did our knitting and nattered about what we want to do in Japan. The cat isn’t theirs, it comes from across the road and scrabbles on the window.

At night we popped out to the opening night celebration of Harry Blades & Angry Daves it is a new hair salon and clothes shop. It looks fabulous, I hope it is a big success! Brad who is the hair salon half is an old old friend of my sister. He cut my hair for years and years, truly he is the BEST hairdresser I ever had.

I tried it out of curiosity as I hadn’t had such a thing before either – it tasted of cinnamon and nutmeg, a bit like chai maybe but coffee! Really good :)

Oh, let the cat in! :-)

I noticed that you don’t open your aperture too wide like a lot of people do these days, and that makes your photos sharp (more depth of field), and I just love that!

The cat was begging and begging to be let in! We didn’t because it sets of my sister’s hayfever. She seems ok around our two though, I hope she doesn’t get an allergy to ours, that would be terrible!

Ooh yes, that is very noticing of you – I hadn’t thought about it until you said it! I guess that is just what I like doing for some reason? I am glad that you like it :) I am going to be more aware of this now that you have said it. Thank you, that is helpful.

I really want to go to the farm especially to the hobbit house. I love the poster and the amazing cushion in your sisters house. Did she make them? I especially love the green stripes and leaves with the buttons on it.

I think the poster is a local (Bristol) artist? I made the cushion! It was an early knitting experiment :)

Doesn’t surprise me that the picture is local – Bristol is a bit of a cycling hub, with sustrans there. (I was listening to the Cycling City programme on Radio 4 last sunday on the IPlayer which was really interesting). Love the cushion – I think its the leaves against the stripes. An excellent experiment ;)
