Thanks for the nice comments on the pictures :) I am enjoying trying to figure out the best ways of taking pictures of the snow. It looks like we are going to get more snow today and over the weekend. I do promise however that it won’t just be all be snow snow snow around here for weeks and weeks.

A great many people seem to be doing the photography 365 challenge this year whereby they take a picture every day. I wish everyone who is doing this good luck! I hear that around May it can get tricky so make sure to power through then. My two cents (as someone who usually takes pictures everyday) is that the key is to never EVER leave home without your camera.

Your pictures are captivating! Simply beautiful!
We have this amount of snow where I live in Canada, but for you this is amazing! I can’t believe how much snow you have! It looks like a wonderland of white – I love the picture of the Silence Please Sign and the burst of red in the pics with the phone booth! Thank you!

the 3rd and 6th are just perfect :) do you take these photos with a little P&S or an SLR? I only ask because I’d love to take photos every day, but I just don’t fancy taking my Nikon D40 every day, although not huge it’s still bit heavy to carry around… but the little point&shoot just doesn’t allow a lot of play with light and interesting shot… not that I’d be able to undertake the 365 challenge, but I’d like to take photos more often than just the week end (as it’s usually is at the moment)…. It is my DSLR that I carry about, I really cut down on the other stuff I carry to try to make up for the weight of it :)

Thanks for the encouragement! I don’t think I’ll last that long, May seems like a long way to go already. I’ll try to keep it up though… My sister lives in London and she would call me telling me about the snow, when all we have here is crazy rain and bloddy wind coming from the sea! Argh!!

I LOVE the “silence please” photo. So perfect. I agree about never leaving home without the camera. I left mine at home last Thursday because I was not on my bike, but Chicago had the most gorgeous snow storm. I was kicking myself during my lunch hour, watching the huge snowflakes gracefully descend while sitting in Starbucks camera-less.
