I don’t know if anyone noticed but for 24 hours this website was gone. Poof, with one small error while transferring the database everything vanished: goodbye three years, goodbye 700 posts, goodbye thousands of photographs, and goodbye to thousands and thousands of kind, funny, thoughtful, interesting comments. It was an abrupt goodbye without even having a chance to say farewell.
And I really really cared. I hadn’t realised until it was gone quite how comfortable I feel in this funny little online home.
Without this space I would still take pictures, I would still visit new places, I would still cook, I would still sew random things, and I would still be amused by the odd things the cats get up. However I now really appreciate quite how much I enjoy sharing it all on here.
So thank you all who visit, and I promise next time to be really really careful with the databases.
I hope that everything is sorted out now but if anyone notices anything weird please let me know.

:) When Beep is not allowed on my desk she will sit up on a speaker like that hovering behind me gazing with that weird glassy expression over my shoulder out the window. It is eerie. Birds beware.
