Yeats wrote about the above waterfall in his poem The Stolen Child.
The above are Glencar Waterfall, Glencar Lake, Lough Gill, and Parke’s Castle. We spent a good few hours by the lakes reading our books, listening to the lapping water and the sound of the rushes.
I’m almost at the end of my Ireland pictures, I’ll put the last lot up tomorrow :)

Gorgeous photos! I love how the sun sparkles on the water :)
There was a lovely breeze causing the ripples :)
I will miss your Irish pictures very much! I love the Glencar waterfall the Isle of Innisfree. Your pictures capture the mystic of the area so well – I have enjoyed them each morning so thank you!
And thank you for your encouragement! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. I’m glad you liked the pictures and that they capture the place. I shall be back there again soon I hope :)
I meant to say the mystique!
understood :)
Is there anything more beautiful than a waterfall? Lovely.
I like the refreshing spray that comes off them :)
Your Ireland photos are outrageously beautiful. When I visit there a few years ago is was wintertime and grey (though lovely)–the sun shining in your photos makes me want to go back and see another side of the place! The first photo is especially magical.
Thank you! We were so lucky with the weather. We had packed our waterproofs as we expected wet weather but in the end it was so sunny :)
