Clevedon

This post is a day later than usual (for the past few months I’ve been sticking to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) as we went to Cornwall for a long weekend. On the way down from Oxford to Cornwall I was studying the map to find an interesting place that we could stop half way and the name Clevedon jumped out at me because I remembered Kate’s pictures. We stopped to see the lovely old pier and had a sandwich in a cafe on the seafront. An interesting thing is that this pier is covered in little brass memorial plaques and the names of donors, so you can literally see the vast numbers of people who care about the pier.

I second Lucent’s comment … LOVE these photos! And to have a photo of cake and steaming hot coffee in the midst of them made me feel like I was taking a little break too. :) Thanks, Alice!

fact: the first person who commented on this post is my best friend and I had no idea she read you too. We keep on checking the same blogs without even planning to, we are THAT awesome.

Other than that, I love these shots. They remind me of the place where the film Never Let Me Go was filmed. I really love the cold desaturated tones :) well done!

The pictures are fantastic, such a wonderful place. Love the picture of the houses at the ocean front, what a setting for a house!

Love the juxtaposition of the cosy, bright, creamy cake and the the imposing, cold-looking weather outdoors!
