St Ives, grey skies

It weather looks gloomy doesn’t it, it was very February, but it didn’t rain other than a light mist as we were leaving. There was an amazingly strong wind that you could lean right into, the telephone wires in the little streets would hum a little tune, and the sea really cracked on the shore. The weather may have been a little grey but not our moods, we LOVED St Ives, we are definitely hoping to go back there again. I liked the yellow lichen on the roofs, the houses piled up on each other, the huge sandy beaches and that there were plenty of little shops and restaurants. I would go back at this time of year too, lots of businesses were closed refurbishing themselves ready for the summer but there were still plenty of good eating options. That’s it for Cornwall photos for now although as I say I hope we can go back soon.

Oh but here’s one more picture, this is us sitting on a bench with our feet up on our cases waiting to go and get our train :)

Wow this is such a cool, charming place. It reminds me of a place you’d see in a movie – like Never Let Me Go or something.

The gray skies are never great in person but they do make for some really nice, well lit photos!

I think TV show Doc Martin was filmed in St. Ives….. Hope I`ll visit it some day.
