On the way home from Dorest we stopped at Kingston Lacy, a huge country house now run by the National Trust. It is an interesting house to visit – loads to see, very lavish, and my favourite of being able to be see dressing tables and bookshelves. They have a nice cafe at which we had a cream tea (we almost left Dorst without having had a cream tea!) and then later we had salads, all tasty. They did have a terrible wasp problem though, I hope they can sort it out for future summers. The grounds were good for a walk around and a snooze on the grass, lots of parkland and a kitchen garden/community garden project. Well worth visiting.
