At the weekend I popped in to catch a bit of this art, music, spoken word event at Modern Art Oxford. Interesting stuff. The top picture is of a sound piece by a friend.

Going through my pictures from the past week or so and these stood out as they weren’t of bicycles, trees, or odd shaped twigs, as seems to be the way these days with my new daily exposure to rurality. At a Music In Oxford show they were using a ‘copy’ stamp. That band is Kogumaza, I enjoyed seeing them.
Holding gigs/nights/events in unusual places is a great idea! On Friday there was an Ashmolean Late Nights event held in the vaults. The DJs beforehand weren’t my cup of tea but the local band that played were great and the projections around the room were really nicely done.
Truck Festival is not far from Oxford, I have played there myself a few times. I wasn’t planning on going this year because of one thing and another but a Groupon made it so cheap that it seemed silly not to go along for at least one day. It was a really great day, I can’t say I actually saw or heard much music because as often happens at festivals the main fun is chatting to friends :)
Just a quick note if you subscribe by RSS: if you have had the problem of some of the comments showing in the RSS feed for this site and you want to have only the posts show in your reader use this RSS link http://feeds.feedburner.com/typepad/peapods (it is called Peapods as it’s the RSS feed I carried over from the previous blog). For some people something seems to have changed whereby some of the comments feed and the posts feed are getting merged. I think this issue is Google Reader specific. I am looking into a way to fix this but in the meantime if you have had the problem of comments showing and you change to that other feed address all should be fixed. Thanks very much to Andi from Untangling Knots for letting me know this was happening!
