This china mug. It’s from the Tate St Ives shop, I’m having trouble finding anything about it online but underneath it says the design was done for Tate St Ives by Alex Higlett. The drawings are of St Ives landmarks and it says “shoo, cloud shoo!”. Very cheering. (The drink in the picture is a soy matcha latte).

This sandwich. It’s from a Middle Eastern place not too far from my house, they do sit down food there but the flatbread sandwiches to-go are the best. I get falafel with spinach.

My sister sent me this amazing decoration she made, isn’t it incredible! I love it so much. She is very good with wool. I have a massive scarf she made me last year that is like wearing a hug.

Speaking of talented knitters I was so surprised and so happy to win the fantastic Mooncalf Makes blog birthday giveaway. Holy moly, this is such a wonderful gift! It was extra nice as it arrived after a very busy week. So many wonderful things in there, both handmade and bought, Christmas truly came early. Check out all the amazing things she knits over on the blog and also her super cute new kittens.

And finally yesterday I bought my first ever hot water bottle. I don’t know how I ever managed without it, I’m addicted to it already. I’m going to be taking it on a car journey later. It is made by this Finnish company Lapuan Kankurit and I got it from Northlight here in Oxford.
Phew, I am glad I managed to just about take these pictures. There is such a short window of daylight at the moment :)

I’ve been using my new Tea Lovers Eco Cup, I might take off the teapot which is for your tea bag string as I usually use leaf tea.
A lost glove.
The kitties really enjoy boxes :)

After work I stayed later in the city centre as I needed to look for some comfortable but not ugly shoes (difficult). A combination of having to schlep around the high street shops and getting completely soaked to the skin on my bike (you know when you are so wet your clothes look shiny?) meant I was feeling rather ground-down. So it was a really nice surprise to find my package of the things I bought from UGUiSU already waiting for me at home. That is very fast postage! Hiki (also of the blog jollygoo) runs this great shop. It was on seeing this 2011 diary in the shop that I finally had a good excuse to make a purchase, I also bought some of the paper balloons.

My 2011 diary. Behind is the nice paper it came wrapped in.

One of the paper balloons. I bought some more but I am going to keep them under wraps for now as they might be a gift if I can bear to part with one of them. Hiki also put in an extra one for me, thank you Hiki!! It is nostalgic to see these ones again as my sister and I used to play with those more traditional ones when we were small.
Oh yes and the shoes? I bought these white leather PF Flyers. Simon and I were doing a shoe comparison in our hall as he also wears PF Flyers, we are now a matching couple ;) Ps. Simon’s bag on the stairs looks like a panda doesn’t it?

I went to a party at the weekend where they handed out those bracelets that when you bend them and crack what is inside it lights up in luminous colours.

They also had a karaoke hut :)
