There’s a man in the middle of this picture above, can you see him?

Badwater, the lowest place in USA.
It’s what I imagine the surface of the moon must look like. We picked up the hire car from Las Vegas airport. Before setting out into the desert we went to a big Wholefoods around the corner from the hire car place. This was handy as we could stock up on food and a crate of water. We then headed out to Death Valley. The roads were quite empty out that way so it gave Simon a chance to get used to driving on the other side of the road. We stayed at Stove Pipe Wells motel which seemed a friendly family sort of place, it was no Bellagio but was inexpensive and has such a unique location right in the middle of Death Valley. Even though it was only April it was already really hot, 34C in the day. At night we had to have the air-con on too.
Again I’d love to go back, maybe I’ll stop saying that and it can just be taken as read that I want to go back to all these places.
