
On our way northwards from San Francisco we went via Santa Rosa so we could visit the Charles M Schulz museum. If you are a fan of Peanuts it is well worth checking out. These pictures are of a big mural made up of tiles of peanut cartoon strips selected so that the dark and light of the strips makes out the characters. From there we went on up the coast to Mendocino…

Mendocino is cute! We stayed in the Mendocino Hotel, an old Victorian hotel with a wrap-around balcony. Mendocino is used sometimes to represent Maine in Murder She Wrote. I also realised afterwards that the hotel is mentioned in Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City.
